We have stressed employee accountability for their own safety over the last few months and there are a lot of supervisors and employees that have taken this seriously. I have seen supervisors and employees go above and beyond the required safety rules to show their commitment and leadership when it comes to their safety. Most of our supervisors take safety seriously and follow safety policies and procedures on a daily basis and I would like to congratulate all of you for a job well done.

Most of our locations and crews have been turning in “Tool Box Talks” on a weekly basis. This is excellent because it keeps safety on the minds of all the employees and shows the commitment of Management to safety. The topics of the “Tool Box Talks” have been geared toward things that apply to what’s going on throughout the company and the industry, which makes the talks more interesting for the employees. Keep up the good work guys!

I feel our “Safety Culture” is improving in most areas but we still have a lot of room for improvement. Have you done your “Job Safety Analysis” yet? What have you done this year to improve safety in your department? It’s your job to be safe everyday at work and at home!!
