New 2003 Mixers

As the summer flies by some plants are flourishing with several large projects racking up the yardage, while many plants are having a slow year partly due to the economy and lack of state projects.
Traer is off to a great start and still has several jobs yet to begin. Vernon has already supplied the concrete for two bridges and is currently delivering concrete to the Traer Library for a large addition.

Jobs on the books that have not begun yet include a new aquatic complex in Dysart, three more bridges and a large culvert.

Newhall is also off to a great year; June was a very productive month. Eric started off the year supplying several culverts in Benton County, a large mini storage project and is currently working on a large church addition.

Tipton has been very busy with residential work as well as patching on Highway 30. Tipton also has two culverts and several grain bins on the books.

Tama has supplied a large project at the Garwin Co-op along with some street paving. There are many upcoming jobs that Tama will supply that are yet to begin, such as patching on 63 and an assisted living complex. Reed, in Belle Plaine, supplied a few culverts in Benton County. Reed and Eric have been working together on projects. Reed has also been busy helping out Tama and Victor.

The residential market in Vinton is busy this year. Vinton also has two curb and gutter projects and two patching projects begin shortly.

Grundy Center has been busy supplying concrete to the on and off ramps of the new Highway 20. There is also a large warehouse project and a new farm supply store on the books.

Victor has supplied many projects at Holiday Lake. Kyle also has a bridge on the books.

The new plant in Montezuma has been getting a workout supplying paving in Sully and working with Grinnell on a large project at the Malcom elevator.

In addition to helping Rod with the Malcom project, Randy in Grinnell has been busy delivering concrete to the chicken farm and trying to finish up the Grinnell College residence halls so students can move in by mid-August. Grinnell also supplied a small paving job.

New Sharon is hauling residential concrete and waiting to start a warehouse project.

Steve in Colfax is having a good year, busy with residential concrete.

Newton is finishing up the senior living facility project. Al is also working on some street-widening projects and the residential market has been busy.

We have gotten off to a slow start in some places, but there are several projects on the books. Please continue to be safe.
