New Equipment Top Priority at Manatt's
Jim Bim
It doesn’t seem that long ago that Manatt’s managers sat in the conference room going over the equipment budget for the year 2001 and bingo the year has come and gone.

The meeting for this coming year’s equipment purchases was recently held and again we will be over the $6,000,000.00 mark!

One of the many reasons Manatt’s, Inc. is number one in heavy highway construction is due to their commitment to new equipment purchasing. This is evident given the kind of budgets we’ve seen over the past two years.

Some of the equipment purchases approved for year 2002 will be the following:

1. W2100 Wirtgen milling machine - $470,000.00

2. Asphalt silo system for Malcom asphalt plant - $150,000 to $200,000.00

3. Cement tankers (5) - $56,000.00 ea.

4. Truck tractors (5) - $100,000.00 ea.

5. Bridgemaster mixer trucks (12) - $145,000.00 ea.

6. Used Komatsu 270 excavator - $130,000.00

7. Belt placer - $320,000.00

8. Misc. rollers (7) steel & rubber - $45,000.00 to 75,000.00

9. Stacking conveyors (2) - $75,000.00 to $120,000.00

10. IT loader backhoes (2) - $75,000.00

11. Misc. support vehicles & trailers

12. Chip spreader - $170,000.00

13. Trencher - $245,000.00

You can see by the above dollar amounts, the commitment Manatts is making for an upcoming construction season that is still up in the air.

My best wishes to everyone in the Manatt construction family for a great Christmas and New Year holiday. I hope to see and talk to you in the 2002 construction season.

Happy Holidays!
