To All My Friends & Co-Workers at WQI:
I
have written many Thank You’s in my 46 years – for birthday
gifts, Christmas gifts, weddings gifts, baby gifts, etc. – but
this is probably the hardest one I’ve ever had to write. How
do you tell people how much their prayers, thoughts, and love
mean to you?
During
my surgeries and recovery, my battle with breast cancer, there
has hardly been a day go by that I haven’t received a card, a
note, flowers, balloons, plants, candy, or phone calls. And all
from the same bunch of wonderful, loving, caring people. My
family away from home. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough
words. During my ups and downs, my tears and depression, you’ve
been there cheering my on.
And
there aren’t many places I’ve ever worked that your bosses
actually care enough about their employees to write notes, call
you at home to see how you are, and to find friends to call to
give you additional encouragement. Thank you, Tony & Ron,
for being there for me.
Also,
a special thank you to Laura Dudek for being my biggest sounding
board, listening to all my tears, trials, good news, and bad
news. You kept everyone posted on my condition, all my
surgeries, etc. and I know you were responsible for much of the
“love” that showed up at my door.
Now
that I’m back to work, finally, thank all of you for the warm
“welcome back” I’ve received. It feels wonderful to know
that you’ve been missed and needed. Please put up with me a
little longer as I go through my chemo. The hair is falling, the
hat is on, and we’re almost halfway through.
So,
to my friends, co-workers, actually the biggest support group
anyone could have, I humbly thank you and pray that if someone
ever needs me like I needed you, I’ll have the compassion to
help them out like you helped me.
From
the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul, “Thank You!”
