Originally
from Wilton, Iowa, Patsy worked as the Location Accounting Manager
with a group handling the accounting and merchandising for six river
export elevators. They took grain by truck and rail and loaded it
onto barges along the Mississippi River.
They
also purchased grain for the processing market in Cedar Rapids and
Eddyville. She admits that she will miss trading grain, but there
are equally interesting things going on in the construction
business.
Patsy
has two sons, Shad and Austin. Shad is a student at the University
of Iowa and Austin is a junior at Wilton High School. She has moved
to Hartwick, Iowa, purchased an acreage, and is in the process of
building a barn for her horses. Patsy says, “The community has
made us feel welcome and I really like the area.”
When
they get completely relocated, she plans on doing a good deal of
horseback riding and maybe some 4-wheeling. Patsy believes this has
been a good move for her and is looking forward to making her home
in this area.
So,
if you are in the Brooklyn office, stop by, introduce yourself, and
give Patsy a welcome to her new Manatt home.
