Mike Manatt was well known for his dedication to family, friends and the community in which he lived.  He served on many boards and committees that promoted the development, not only of his hometown of Brooklyn, but of many other communities, which supported his family’s business.  With that in mind, the Board of Directors of Manatts, Inc. and the Manatt family have pledged a sizable donation toward the construction of a Community Center in Brooklyn, IA in memory of Mike Manatt.

The local Brooklyn Community Foundation will be responsible for the remainder of the fundraising for this project.  At this time the foundation needs to raise $350,000 to enable us to apply for the grants required to finish the project.  The Brooklyn Community Foundation is a non-profit organization therefore any donation to this project is tax deductible. 

For Manatt employees who wish to be part of the legacy to honor Mike Manatt, your donation would be greatly appreciated.  This may be done through a cash donation or by payroll deduction.  Please make checks payable to the Brooklyn Community Foundation and send to Manatts, Inc., Attn: Vickie McDonald, PO Box 535, Brooklyn, IA 52211.  If you would rather donate by payroll deduction, please watch for a payroll deduction form in your pay envelope.  Payroll deduction may be processed in one lump sum or over a period of weeks.  All contributors will be publicly recognized unless otherwise instructed.
