Gene Shows Off His New Machine!
On April 19 a new 380 Komatsu loader was delivered to
our Lowden Quarry. Our resident operator Gene Mayerhofer
has been in the quarry business since 1959.After a short
time at Moscow and a short time with Rocky Weaver he
returned to the Lowden Quarry where he still works. Gene
has never had a new loader, so this was a special time
for him as well as Wendling Quarries.
The owner of Road Machinery, Mike Sills III, was
present as well as the salesman DeLane Wolter for the
presentation. Gene is one of many employees at W.Q.I.
that does his job and you rarely hear from him. It was a
great time being part of the group that was involved
with getting Gene a new machine finally! Gene has had a
530 Hough and a L30 Terex loader in the past. Gene will
probably retire with this new machine!

Dear Team Wendling,
Thank you from the bottom of my
heart. Words cannot express the appreciation I
have towards the wonderful gifts you have all
shared. These gifts include friendships, laughs,
memories, and wonderful gestures of kindness.
I was truly blessed to work with
and know you. Iowa holds such a warm group of
people I will never forget. I cannot thank you
enough. I know in my heart our paths will cross
again.
Warm wishes and God Bless!
